Every time I hear that these guys are still in jail, it makes me sick. These guys were hired to protect our borders and they are sitting in jail? Sorry, Mr. President, I back you up and give you the benefit of the doubt on most issues, but not this one. Something stinks in Washington!

This is a great miscarriage of justice. Free Ramos and Compeon now!...

As a retired Police Officer I have no problem with the actions taken by Ramos and Compeon. They were only doing their job. You must remember that Drug Dealers are killing our children here in the USA. We need to protect our Borders and our Families. Forget the Arrogant Retarded Stupid Foolish Government that we have here in the USA. They only wish to Enrich their Bank Accounts and Pander to Big Businesses as well as to the Corrupt Government in Mexico. We need to Free Ramos and Compeon and give them Medals as well as a big raise in Salary. These men are our Heroes and should be treated as such....

It is time our government leaders recognize that you can't hire people to protect our borders and then arrest them when they do. Bush is definitely wrong in not granting an immediate pardon for these gentlemen....

June 25,2007 I just read that Ramos has lost 30 lbs. in prison. He has been in solitary confinement for 135 days+ for his own protection as he was beaten (I think by criminal illegals) very soon after starting his sentence. Anyone who has thoroughly followed the stories about this prosecution knows that it was an outrage only prompted by the Mexican government. The Texas Rangers had investigated and recommended no prosecution. I voted for Pres. Bush twice but I admit that he appears guilty of dereliction of duty as regards border security. And Att. Gen. Gonzales should be canned, but not for the firing of legal staff. He is corrupt....

Mexican drug cartels are using Al Quida techniques such as beheading, and can't even be controled by the Mexican millitary.
We don't need to help them by persucuting our own for doing their job....

David Terry shows the true difference between the left and the right. He thinks passage of this bill will lead to all of our "blood thirsty" border patrol agents executing all the illegal immigrants they can find. I give our agents the respect and gratitude they deserve, for guarding our borders. With revised rules of engagement, to allow them the ability to carry out their duties, without exposing them to more dangerous "ILLEGALS", I feel will perform honorably. Not like a bunch of murdering thugs, as Mr. Terry believes. I think we know whose side he is on....
