Put a stop to the popularity of anti-white/Euro bias in mainstream culture. This is what they have exploited to work those immigration protests to the feverish pitch recently seen. It's been brewing for decades though. Helped along by an overactive, albeit at many times wrong, "white guilt" complex....

There is no white ethnicity (contrary to the belief of the "whiteness studies" folks), there's is not a white people, and there is no white race. Many Europeans and European-Americans have fought against and sought justice for victims of "white supremacy"/kkk/neo-nazis/and whoever else for decades if not centuries....

I participated in grape boycott campaign in school way back when and Cesar Chavez was, surprise, against illegal immigration. Would I have helped Mexican farm laborers if I was so inherently racist? I resent being treated daily like I'm that overused word - racist - by blatantly racist Latinos just because of my complexion....

If "Latinos" want to identify themselves now as "La Raza" (The Race) then let it be known who's really the racist. This has just as much to do with racist Latinos as it does with European-Americans accepting their racism and not countering the "racist whites" spin in the media. If you want to help your grandchildren think how you can help move us toward a truly integrated, multicultural society that doesn't mean "brown only" cultures at the exclusion of Europeans. This is the ideal I was taught, weren't you?...

This is another example of corruption. This legislation provides funding to enrich a lobby, and a racist supremecist lobby at that. It's as bad as something that would funnel 10 million to the klan. What's more, I'm a democrat, and I recognize why the US Chamber of Commerce and Business Round Table give millions of dollars to La Raza per year.. it's about turning the US into a slave nation....

Why was immigration law changed in 1965 to make sure that 90% of immigrants MUST be non-white? It isn't racist to bring this up. It's racist to keep this policy in place. It's not only illegal immigration out of control, it's legal immigration out of control. Look what's it gotten us, "La Raza", never mind other ethnic based organizations that are openly anti-white. Detailed Summary

Hope Fund Act of 2007 - Directs the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development to make a grant to the National Council of La Raza to provide technical and financial assistance to local non-profit organizations to undertake community development and affordable housing projects and programs serving low- and moderate-income households, particularly through organizations located in neighborhoods with substantial populations of income-disadvantaged households of Hispanic origin.

Authorizes the National Council of La Raza, or the Raza Development Fund, to use such funds to: (1) provide technical and financial assistance for site acquisition and development, construction financing, and short- and long-term financing for housing, community facilities, and economic development; (2) leverage capital from private entities, including private financial institutions, insurance companies, and private philanthropic organizations; and (3) provide technical assistance, training, support, and advice to develop the management, financial, and administrative capabilities of housing development organizations serving low-income households, including Hispanic households.

I am disgusted that this bill was voted in to give our tax money to an organization that is racist and is telling members that the American west still belongs to Mexicans and should be taken over as a "homeland" to hispanics. They are not only traitors they are invaders. And we're giving them our money. According to Wikipedia, 17 states have multiple cities and towns that are over 50% up to 98% hispanic. They are taking over quickly enough without our financing them!...
