Well... Think the republicans got the message? Vote them out, not just the right, all of them. When you see incumbent, vote for someone else. Try the Libertarian party. These people just want to make sure that government doesn’t get too big and that the laws YOU vote on are followed. This bill is just ridicules. ...

This bill is ridiculous... not only does it seam shady for them to "fine print" this act on the bottom of a port protection act... but how can a government who rebelled from a king due to unfair taxes... now try to prohibit the freedom of choice on how to use their own money??...

There's only one way to deal with this. Someone needs to put together a list of everyone who voted for this. and EVERYONE needs to vote against anyone who voted for this. The reason OUR government continues to do this stuff and it continues to worsen. Is because our general atitude is let someone else work this out and we do not come together as a whole unit all at once. It will not be fixed by someone else it can only be fixed when everyone is involved in a single organized movement. If you let this one slide what else are you willing to let slide next? It's your choice, which country are we in? Is it the land of the free. Or the home of "Big Brother"? Perhaps, the next bill will be that everyone including new borns must sumbit a DNS sample to be placed in a national database with or without your consent. Of course this will be for your own protection! It will help stop crime. And don't worry, It's the federal government. It will never get lost, stolen or mis-used. "WE PROMISE"!...

We have bigger things to worry about for example North Korea with their nuclear,Iraq and Terrorism. Instead of wasting OUR tax money on Internet gambling, OUR money should go toward lets say Protecting the AMERICAN People, Patroling our boarder, cure for cancer and thats not all. Internet gambling should be the very very last thing on any of OUR House or senate mind. This show us how much our government cares about the American People....

This bill is a violation of the constitutional rights of every american. The government restricting the online poker players from playing at home is the same as telling all americans that they have no right to gamble. In that case ban all casinos and shut Las Vegas down. Its unfair the government should protect our freedom, and our rights to spend our money how we wan\'t to. Crimanlizing this is another way to take one more of our civil liberties. And every person who gambles irresbosibly is to blame. Congress is definatly failing america if this law passes. I have the right to play poker online or at the casinos if I choose to;However, not if the clowns in congress have anything to say about it. This is typical of congress to interfere with another freedom we enjoy. Thanks for dropping the ball again Washington....

This is a way for congress to blow the wistle on honest hard working americans that want to play at home. The government needs every penny they can grab with thier grubby little hands. And since they dont tax us like the casinos they are going to muck all freedoms that they dont control. I feel like an idiot for having faith in legislation.
Everything we do in life is a gamble. So why take away something so many people enjoy. I've lost a lot more money on the Stock Market then placing money on football or basketball games. So what's the difference between the two? At least I can watch the players on tv and evaluate for myself how they might perform the next game. But when it comes to buying stock I have no clue what these board of directors are going to do....

Let's see: It's OK to lie to the Americian people so as to start a war that is detrimental to the interest of the US, so as to assure reelection and/or fatten the wallets of friends of the Administration such as Haliburton, etc; reinterpret the Geneva Convention to allow actions that previously would be unaceeptable under the Articles, bringing shame on this Country and jeopordizing our troops who could someday be POW's; it's OK to bankrupt the country through a combination of bankrolling unecessary wars while cutting the taxes of the wealthy. It will take a lifetime or more to repair the damage that Pres. Bush and the Republican Congress has done to this Country and as long as these despots remain in office, the repairs won't be made. Instead, they will try to distract the American people with such nonsense as this Internet Gambling law....
