(logged-in user) November 21, 2011, 8:15pm (report abuse)I have heard many reasons brought up from special interest groups for limiting the use of state land over the last 3 years. This time I feel very worried that we are going to loose our ability to use the land permanently. And once it is gone, we won’t be able to get it back.
I am surrounded by federal & state land, I purchase the required permits I also pay the extra money for off road vehicle tags.
I am active in keeping the lands clear by having an annual clean up on the most used areas such as the shooting, camping & the washes that are used by illegal narcotics and human traffickers.
The criminals that are doing the littering don’t currently follow the laws; the careless people that shoot signs from their cars don’t follow the laws. If the shooting regulations are put into place, the only people that will follow that law will be people like us that follow laws already.
The regulations seem to keep coming, & they appear to be more about control than preserving the environment.
