Concerned Tax Payer

Amazing how Washington digs into my wallet and steals my money. When will they stop spending money they don't have? When will people of America wake up to the fact that you will not have any money left to put towards your goals. I just have to say to my children and grand children I am sorry for UNCLE SAM has broken your piggy bank and stollen all your money.

Agreed; our current government needs to remember that every dollar they spend comes from a taxpayer. If they overtax the taxpayer, there will be no more jobs or taxes.

What's worse is all the rich celebrities are behind this bill. They can afford it but can the middle class? NO! Pickens Plan is better than cap and trade!

Yes I am from Texas. And yes my job is based in Oil & Gas. I happen to be fortunate enough to still have my job, but several of my former collegues were not so lucky. Cap & Trade...Clean Energy Act...whatever you want to call it is DESTROYING the econnomy here in Houston. I wish stupid liberals would realize that money that these "Big Evil" oil companies make goes RIGHT back into EFFICIENT capital expenditures. Which means more jobs for engineering, deisgn, logistics, finance, secretaries, you name it. We have a nuclear department which is pretty much OVERHEAD (cost company money) because it is just NOT AN EFFICIENT source of energy. We learned that 30 years ago. http://blogs.wsj.com/environmentalcapital/2009/03/06/exxon-mobil-we-like-renewable-energy-subsidies-wink-wink/tab/article/

The saddest part of this bill is...I've heard it all before. For decades DC has been working on the same issues. Term limits for all of you! You're not doing the jobs. It's simple to follow the will of the people.

Look at page 893 onwards. This bill directs our government to hand over massive amounts of money to underdeveloped countries to help them with their supposed global warming woes. This is right out of the UN Climate Change Treaty's "mitigation" provisions whereby big dirty polluting developed nations must make things right for the poorer countries since we have fouled their air! This is nonsense. We spend billions of hard-earned taxpayer dollars to help impoverished countries and where does the money end up? In the despots' pockets. Let's take care of our own here in America. We have NO MONEY. We ARE BROKE. Yet Mr. Kerry and all the thugs in Washington want to spend more and more on bogus projects We must give them all the boot. Please call your senators and tell them to vote against this terrible, destructive legislation.

This is simply another power grab for the world elitists. Most knowledgeable people know Global Warming is a hoax and this should be fought tooth and nail. If the Dems get what they want, say goodbye to the USA. Goods and services will rise exponentially; so many things are made with petroleum products. Small businesses will go out of business and large corporations will prosper and that means even more job losses. This legislation is tyranny on the American people.
