November 19, 2009, 11:30pm (report abuse)I am definitely in favor of the passage of this Bill. It is time for the Congress and the Senate to adhere to the laws of our Constitution and the Enumerated Powers and to define by what authority under the Enumerated Powers they are passing laws.
Institutionalized Tyranny
January 17, 2010, 9:05pm (report abuse)This bill will NEVER pass because to the Congressional elites and hatchet men, the Constitution is but an obstruction, an annoyance, an inconveniece worthy only of circumvention. The pledge shoudl be reworded to reflect this reality: to preserve, protect, defend my butt and those of my monied friends. The people be damned.

April 19, 2010, 2:46pm (report abuse)Interesting. Gives one pause to wonder why the Republican majority from 1994 through 2006 failed to enact this measure in conjunction with their successes engendered by the 'Contract with America' of that era. Might they have been concerned lest they hand the Democrats a procedural stumbling block that might be used to slow the pace of business in the Senate? Perish the thought!
