March 1, 2009, 11:53am (report abuse)This bill is corporate welfare, pure and simple. The high-priced, exclusive publishing companies cover none of the cost of doing the research and writing the papers, so they don't deserve a copyright giveaway.

March 30, 2009, 4:38pm (report abuse)Government funded research belongs to the tax paying public. We paid for it in the first place! Why should we have to pay to read the results? Once again a for profit business wants to make their profit at our expense.
