I received from HSBC a notice of change in credit card rates, from 14.99% to 19.99%. Obviously, this company does not care about the current credit crisis in this country. They gave me to choice of closing the account within thirty days and continue to make payments until the account is paid. I have written to them and cancelled the account.

I recieved a notice from Charter One Bank, effective Dec 08 raising my interest from 7.99% to 16.99%. I have good credit. Nothing derogatory on my credit.
