December 13, 2008, 7:13pm (report abuse)I am very much in favor of having this bill passed. There are no times more important for parents than when a child enters the family, either by birth or adoption, and federal employees as well as others should be given every opportunity to benefit a child by having its parents available at that time. I do hope the subcommittee will recommend passage of the bill to the full Senate.

December 16, 2008, 2:30pm (report abuse)I am very much in favor of having this bill passed. I myself am expecting in March 2009 and this would really help my situation. I am a fairly new employee and I don't have leave built up like some employee's who have been with the government 15 years. With new employee's come new families and they should be taken care of.
