Detailed Summary
<b>(This measure has not been amended since it was introduced. The summary of that version is repeated here.)</b>
Federal Judgeship Act of 2008 - Directs the President to: (1) appoint additional circuit judges for the first, second, third, sixth, eighth, and ninth circuit courts of appeals and temporary judges for the ninth circuit court of appeals; and (2) appoint additional permanent and temporary district judges for districts in specified states.

June 23, 2008, 9:38pm (report abuse)the last thing we need is adding to an already too large of a government.if the currently residing judges actually worked a 40 hr week,the back log of cases would be reduced.if anything we need to take steps to expedite the petty charges that are backing up the system!
