For over a year I have spoken personally and by e-mail to Rep. Nathan Deal, R-GA, regarding thousands of unused FEMA trailers visible from I-59 south of Hattisburg, MS. I have questioned him about why these trailers, paid for by the American taxpayers and no doubt, incurring a rental fee each month, are not being used in some way for homeless people or for others who may be living in sub-standard housing. I only 2 days ago received a letter from him advising me of a bill introduced by Mike Ross, D-AR, to require FEMA to take some action in regard this situation. This is just another blatant example of the waste that is occurring with the hard-earned money that belongs to the taxpayers. Either the trailers should be given to those who need them or they should be sold back to the companies from which they were purchased. I am incensed that MY money is being mis-used in this manner.
