Detailed Summary

Urban Medicare-Dependent Hospitals Preservation Act of 2008 - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act, with respect to cost reporting periods beginning on or after October 1, 2008, to revise the criteria and payment formula for "subsection (d) hospitals" which are urban Medicare-dependent hospitals.
