FROMA POLICESTATE
August 5, 2008, 3:27pm (report abuse)I cannot believe that our Congress not only agrees with our White House idiot, but decides to add more money to the kitty. What part of the poll that concludes we don't want a war do they not understand? Have we turned into some sort of Conquistadors, ready to conquer foreign lands and turn them to our way of thinking? Throwing the money at anything a portion of the public can give a nod to is what our Congress does. Their idea is :if we throw money at a popular gov't organization, it will buy products from companies we own stock in, thus we can line our own pockets while the public supports us.
This is madness!! Look at the price tag. Billions of dollars! Haliburton loves it, so do all the other establishments that make outlandish profits by overcharging taxpayers. This needs to be stopped!! but, who in Congress (those poor, poor people living hand-to-mouth, haha) will listen to a taxpayer who is tired of paying for their nesteggs? None. I chase after the wind.
