chaotic order
May 15, 2008, 5:25pm (report abuse)It is time to give preference to non-military solutions to the problems in this world. Furthermore, it is time to stop the war on drugs and focus our resources on other much more important problems. This initiative proposes using the American government's own money and resources directly against the American people's money and resources. It does not make sense that the source of the problem--the US people-- is fighting against its own self--the US government--and using a corrupt abusive foreign government--Mexico-- to do it. I thought that the democracy was for the people by the people. The mere fact that most of the drug sales occur in the US shows that the people want to use drugs; so why are they illegal and why does the government insist on doing what the people don't want. The merida initiative must be stopped it is a waste of money and will not help the situation. The real solution is 100% legalization of all recreational drugs.
