H.R. 4212 would authorize the Administrator of the Small Business Administration to deem certain small business concerns qualified HUBZone small business concerns.
Detailed Summary
Amends the Small Business Act to authorize the Administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA) to deem a small business a qualified HUBZone (heavily underutilized business zone) small business if such small business has certified to the Administrator that: (1) it is not currently a HUBZone small business; (2) its principal office is located in a census tract adjacent to a HUBZone; (3) at least 35% of the employees reside in a HUBZone; and (4) it meets current SBA requirements applicable to qualified HUBZone small businesses.
