NYUZXCervical cancer and HPV screening is something every women and man should have access to, whether they are young or old, rich or poor, white or not...these tests can save lives and that is a proven fact! Cervical cancer is the only cancer that is entirely preventable through early detection and yearly HPV and Pap testing. To deny women and men access to these tests is to hand them a death sentence. Especially in light of the fact that 80 percent of the population has or has had HPV at one point in their life. Although, in women over 40, HPV has a greater chance of leading to invasive cervical cancer. Why deny women who need this test most with the funding that can save their lives. You wouldn't want your own sister, mother or grandmother to be denied, so why doom millions of women nationwide with by denying them access to funds for these tests. Please, consider the health of the nation's women before making such a catastrophic decision, like refusing to pass this bill.
