September 25, 2008, 9:20am (report abuse)I don't see how there can be so many against this bill. I am a nurse and see first hand every day the way the nursing shortage effects patient care in a negative way. It is only going to get worse. HR 4001 is a way to expand nursing education and get more nurses in the field. We do the best we can as nurses but are just spread too thin. Don't Americans deserve quality nursing care?

November 21, 2008, 11:39am (report abuse)I am surprised there are so many people against the bill. I am a new nurse (2 yrs) and it concerns me that the average age of RNs I work with is ~46 yrs and above. It doesn't take a genius to see what is coming! We need nurses and this bill can alleviate the nursing shortage.
