Detailed Summary

Amends the federal criminal code to allow an exception to certain minimum mandatory prison terms for the use of firearms in the commission of violent crimes for individuals who are authorized to carry firearms in the lawful performance of an employment duty and who committed the offense during or in relation to such employment.
