H.R. 3198 would provide for quadrennial national security reviews.
Detailed Summary
Quadrennial National Security Review Act - Amends the National Security Act of 1947 to direct the President, every four years, to: (1) conduct a quadrennial national security review (QNSR) to set forth the long- and short-term security goals of the United States; and (2) report review results to Congress.
Establishes the QNSR Advisory Commission to assess such reports and the national security budget.
Directs the President to submit a national security strategy report at the same time that each QNSR is submitted.
