H.R. 2869 would establish a pilot program of Central Asian scholarships for undergraduate and graduate level public policy internships in the United States.
Detailed Summary
Central Asia Education Enhancement Act of 2007 - Directs the Secretary of State to establish a pilot program of scholarships for public policy internships in the United States for undergraduate and graduate students from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
Gives internship priority to students who are: (1) underprivileged or from ethnic, religious or cultural minorities; and (2) from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, or Uzbekistan.
