Government ignorance and stupidity never cease to stun and amaze me.

I've never liked incandescent light bulbs and welcomed the relatively new screw-in fluorescent replacements -- especially the daylight type that eliminate that obnoxious yellow hue.

But there's major problem with those new bulbs: Though they're promoted as lasting thousands of hours, I have yet to buy one that lasted more than a month -- and I've tried at least a dozen of them of various brands.

Memo to government: Fix the bulbs before you start passing stupid laws outlawing lights that definitely work and making overpriced lights that definitely don't work the only ones available.

These bulbs are loaded with mercury.
That's how stupid congress is. Plus, they are all being made in China.

Bulbs are loaded with mercury,if they break have to be wrapped in "2" plastic bag and swept up NOT with sweeper.Mercury toxic to people and pets Special disposal needed and not made for chandliers. And know what I dont what the goverment telling me what kind of light bulb to use. Fix the energy problem wi=hich has been with us since the 70s or have we forgotten the long gas lines then? This is stupid and B
