Detailed Summary
Medicare Marriage and Family Therapist Services Improvement Act - Amends title XVIII (Medicare) of the Social Security Act to provide for coverage of marriage and family therapist services under Medicare part B (Supplementary Medical Insurance) and for coverage of marriage and family therapist services provided in rural health clinics and hospice programs.
Amends Medicare part C (Miscellaneous) to exclude such services from the skilled nursing facility prospective payment system.
Authorizes marriage and family therapists to develop discharge plans for post-hospital services.
