September 11, 2008, 8:17am (report abuse)As this country increasingly relies on the generosity of individual volunteers to implement, run and fund public service programs, it seems especially important at this time to increase the charitable mileage deduction to match the deduction given for business and to allow the business deduction to be the automatic index for any future increases. Volunteers, and the public they serve, deserve equal support under the law.
