i cant believe no one is commenting on this issue. This is another huge federal land grab. nothing more. the fed. gov. has no business owning any land. they absolutely do not need to control any more. it will put more pressure on private land owners. it is all about government control and it needs to be stopped!!!

This another version of the hr1975 last fall. It is all about gaining more control and restrictiing the public and private landowners. This has Wildlands Project, and Y2Y written all over it.

I've been to some of the places that are a part of the conservation system- they're pretty special. And these lands are already publicly owned and are wide open to hunting and other recreational uses! Glad to see congress is supporting lands like these.

it's great these lands will finally get some permanent protection. land grab are scare words for a bill that will change exactly nothing in how these lands are managed.

or your securing public lands for future generations. let me REPEEAT: PUBLIC LANDS. These aren't your PRIVATE lands. You're sad trying our children and their children of their future inheritance with scare tactics. Why don't you try reading and paying a little attention to the issue actually being discussed here.

Thanks to all the f**king Hippies getting everything changed to WILDERNESS designations, the Disabled (Who are taxpayers too) NO LONGER have access to THEIR "Public" lands. It's fine for all the able-bodies, birkenstock wearing, tree huggers to hike wherever they please, but thos of us that have to use a vehicle of any sort are left out. Thanks a lot.

These lands are a national treasure, but they have been largely ignored because they are managed by the US Bureau of Land Management. This bill gives them recognition as a national system comparable to the National Forest System and National Park System. It will prevent future political appointees from abolishing the system and turning them over to development.
