Why in the world should our government be funding a group called "National Council of The Race", as this is exactly what their slogan means. Why should they get money that could otherwise go to a group that benefits ALL Americans, of ALL races!

Tim

Our elected "public servants" want to lavish this racist, reconquista organization with our hard-earned money, to attempt to pander for Hispanic votes. Just say NO!

Carson D.

This folks is why the criminals in this country are able to organize the protest, like those of last May and the honest people are only able to rally up the people they do. The criminals get first crack at our tax money and we are left to work with the little we have left over at home.

Tim H.

Any American supporting "La Razza" Sould be hanged for "TREASON".

Dave D.

This is unthinkable but you can bet that the lefty whackjobs in the congress and senate will vote for this. Reid & Durbin can't wait to vote yes for this crap.

Steve

La Raza is a racist organization and to give them tax payers money would be crazy.I hope come the next elections we will see a whole lotta new faces in congress. These fools no longer represent the american people that made this the greatest country in the world.

Robert

One can reasonably agree or disagree with La Raza's efforts without being guilty of treason or worthy of hanging. Such vitriol adds nothing to the conversation.

james

No, treason is the correct term.8n2nj

Maureen

How can this even be up for a vote? This breaks my heart. and yes James and Tim are exactly right - treason is the right word for any American supporting this group.

Ricardo

Why are they sending money to a private "advocacy" group? These congressmen are completely out of control. This bill needs to be killed.

Linny

Redistribution of U.S. tax dollars to a racial supremacy group? La Raza is the hispanic equivalent of the Ku Klux Klan and the Black Panthers. Racial hatred is racial hatred regardless of what race the organization represents.

ARTHURTWV

Whats next for Hinojosa, Renzi , Franks and the rest of these lunatics? Perpetual funding for Al Quaida ?

carl

This is another example of government insanity. I do NOT want my hard earned tax dollars going to this racist organization. This is shameful

Jane

I agree with Tim H. NO support for this racist organization!

Dennis Clifford

This is another bunch of political BS. It needs to be stopped just like immigration reform.

Bruce

They are already doing this in the Socialist State of Maryland from the Mikulski, Cardin and Van Hollen offices. THEY need to be stopped, as should ALL of the Senate and Congress in what they are trying to do with Illegal Immigrants. Too bad we cannot call Sen Mikulski and Cardin and Congressman Van Hollen up on the carpet. Liberals are "exempt" from being dealt with for what they do with our tax dollars.

Sue

What nut, came up with this? Who ever it was, need to be run out of town. This bill would set the 1964 or 1965 Civil right's back 100 years. The bill call's for 5 million to get things going and after that year,10 million, the year after another 10 million. It is to be spent on low income houses, of hispanic family's. No where in the bill dose it say legal citizens or Black Americans,or White Americans! It's racist from one end to the other. It's unconstitutional, but where is the ACLU, on this? Playing ball with the Mexican Government!

Jim

Where dose our congressmen get this baloney why do we have to put up with these treasonabke acts

mary hoppes

I am disgusted that this bill was voted in to give our tax money to an organization that is racist and is telling members that the American west still belongs to Mexicans and should be taken over as a "homeland" to hispanics. They are not only traitors they are invaders. And we're giving them our money. According to Wikipedia, 17 states have multiple cities and towns that are over 50% up to 98% hispanic. They are taking over quickly enough without our financing them!

Hank

This bill should never be passed!!!

Janet L Dickens

Please do not give money to these people. Since when do we have to subsidize this non citizen council? Their aim is to destabilize this country and they fully believe this country is still theirs and will work toward that goal.I want to meet the idiot that initiated this bill. He should have to take a bunch of illegals and have them live in his house. Spread them around to your compadres!

Randall Powell

Let's hope this bill dies in conference. Unfortunately those that sponsored or co-sponsored this garbage will likely be re-elected, save one (Rick Renzi).

Sam-I-am

La Racista doesn't need to be funded by MY tax dollars. I don't work my butt off to support a racist, bigoted organization like La Racista and the diesel dyke they have as their leader.

TIREDOFIT

It IS treason and Congress just passed HR 1955 to silence patriots who may voice their disapproval of things like HR 1999.

Is it me or is Congress out of control these days?

Ronald White

La Raza is a racist anti White anti Black group. Give me a break. www.govnn.com

If this goes through we might as well just lock, load and get ready for a s*** storm. Our country is being sold out from under us by each side. It's either socialist, who see the illegal’s as future voters they can pander to (we'll get those greedy rich gringo's) or big business’s with no loyalty at all to the country (cheap labor). I believe in immigration that is legal by people who want to be Americans, not hoards of people whose only reason for being here is that they will work illegally for less money.

Trish

Treason. High Treason.

Monkey Surf

CALL THE CONGRESS AND SENATORS AND STOP THIS CRAP!!!!!!

DON'T GIVE UP ON THIS!!!!

Get Busy

Why was immigration law changed in 1965 to make sure that 90% of immigrants MUST be non-white? It isn't racist to bring this up. It's racist to keep this policy in place. It's not only illegal immigration out of control, it's legal immigration out of control. Look what's it gotten us, "La Raza", never mind other ethnic based organizations that are openly anti-white. Wake up.

Eddie Zamora

Another good reason why I'M RUNNING against him (Hinojosa) for Texas (U.S.) District 15!

Doug

It never ends to amaze me that these racist latinophiles get involved in the government and blatently push their invasion. I guess the sheeple will continue to lay down and let this s**t happen. They (hispanics) are successfully repopulating the U.S. and not a damn thing is being down about it. Bush makes me sick!!

Put your money where you're mouth is

While you're writing, might as well boycott their corporate sponsors too. ;) Good Luck!

This is another example of corruption. This legislation provides funding to enrich a lobby, and a racist supremecist lobby at that. It's as bad as something that would funnel 10 million to the klan.

What's more, I'm a democrat, and I recognize why the US Chamber of Commerce and Business Round Table give millions of dollars to La Raza per year.. it's about turning the US into a slave nation.

If you want to put a dent in NCLR, MeCHA, HR1999

Put a stop to the popularity of anti-white/Euro bias in mainstream culture. This is what they have exploited to work those immigration protests to the feverish pitch recently seen. It's been brewing for decades though. Helped along by an overactive, albeit at many times wrong, "white guilt" complex.

If you want to put a dent in NCLR, MeCHA, HR1999

There is no white ethnicity (contrary to the belief of the "whiteness studies" folks), there's is not a white people, and there is no white race.

Many Europeans and European-Americans have fought against and sought justice for victims of "white supremacy"/kkk/neo-nazis/and whoever else for decades if not centuries.

If you want to put a dent in NCLR, MeCHA, HR1999

I participated in grape boycott campaign in school way back when and Cesar Chavez was, surprise, against illegal immigration. Would I have helped Mexican farm laborers if I was so inherently racist? I resent being treated daily like I'm that overused word - racist - by blatantly racist Latinos just because of my complexion.

If you want to put a dent in NCLR, MeCHA, HR1999

If "Latinos" want to identify themselves now as "La Raza" (The Race) then let it be known who's really the racist.

This has just as much to do with racist Latinos as it does with European-Americans accepting their racism and not countering the "racist whites" spin in the media.

If you want to help your grandchildren think how you can help move us toward a truly integrated, multicultural society that doesn't mean "brown only" cultures at the exclusion of Europeans.

This is the ideal I was taught, weren't you?

If you want to put a dent in NCLR, MeCHA, HR1999

Now if any of you speaking out have hoods or burning crosses in your closets, then I would say you should take a flying leap and shut the %&@^ up!

You're the ones that sold this country down the river years ago with your anti-american, domestic terrorism, and not to mention crimes against humanity!

You do nothing but legitimize this manipulative farce of a bill.

Don

America has seen many changes some for the good and some for the bad.
July 29th was a day for the American.
Soon there will be a day for the Americans again when The People will see through this hoodwinking of the American Taxpayer [Day of the 35 indictments]...New beginnings at the Ethics Committee in Congress

Say good bye to the Arizona Republic.
