The Lower Chattahoochee Valley was once a thriving agricultural area. About fifty years ago, the Federal Government made decisions that properly directed some of these erodible lands out of production and put them in forests. Sadly, many land-owners made the bad decision to convert good farm lands as well, reducing the land-values to their default (low) range and thus depopulating the county. This National Heritage Corridor will help land-owners find higher-value uses for the remaining good farm land. Everyone in the country will benefit from this corridor, because the entire region will become more productive.

I strongly urge congress to vote for this bill. The lower Chattahoochee Valley needs help to realize its full potential.

This bill will greatly improve tourism in the Lower Chattahoochee Valley and will add a great deal to the economy.
