February 5, 2009, 11:53am (report abuse)no they didn't otherwise they wouldn't have voted against it. if they bothered to read it, it states that unless your parents are here lawfully or are citizens themselves(well if one parent is a citizen) then you are not a citizen. and that is a darn good amendment
