Studies show that children benefit from a healthy learning environment indoors and utilizing natural and outdoor settings as classrooms see Green Schools). Many studies show that children respond to these changes in their learning environment with improved test scores, increased attendance and decreased sick days, improved behavior and attention, increased self-esteem and decreased levels of stress, improved physical health and decreased rates of obesity.
