The nursing shortage affects us all and I fully support a bill that will fund research to remedy the problem.

I believe that this Bill is a step in the right direction for improving healthcare. By promoting nursing you have empowered the very people who will one day make you life better.
Bonnie Jerome-D'Emilia
As a nurse educator I think we know all the reasons why there is a shortage and a study at this time is just a delay tactic. We need solutions, not studies.
Rhonda R. Stallion
I think that the time for researching for shortage in bedside nursing and educators is over. It is time for administrators, politicians and nurse to take hold of this situation and putting the ball in action. Healthy work environment has been identified, lets start with making nurses want to come to an atmosphere that is filled with employees that are qualified to work in the areas that they are employeed. Lets also start with some diversity, letting our minority brothers and siiters be on the front line of nursing. Acknowledgement that every race and gender can be in a position of leadership.
Gail Fry
There are plenty of people who want to enter the nursing field, but once into the program there is no mentoring, fear is used to create a powerful environment for administration and many of the nurse instructors use test strategies to trick the student and say they are testing like NCLEX. The state might want to consider studying some of the school tactics that are prohibiting nurses from completing and graduating nursing school.
