I support for this Bill H.R. 4007, I don't see why these children have to take any kind of test to be an Citizen of United States, they are the children of United States servicemen in Vietnam, Laos, Thailand or Korea, so they are automatically become Citizen of United States eventhough they born overseas. America bringing them home thru Homecoming Act in 1988. PLEASE TREAT THEM RIGHT, BE FAIR WITH THEM.
I also admire Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren standing up for them. She is like a mother fights for the right of her childrens, I also admire Ms.Khuc Minh Tho who always beside her Amerasians childrens, all of them love and respect her as a Mother.
I thank you for all Americans who open their heart, their arms toward the Amerasians Fellowship Association in The Parade 25th Anniversary of The Black Wall - Washington, D.C. on November 10, 2007, I saw lot of tears from the crowd on both side of the street when they past by, and I also saw lot of tears from them - THE TEARS OF PROUD AND JOY.

Once again, this is a chance to show the world how's American open arms to reach out to each others even though Amerasian were not born within the US, but they still the children of the US servicemen and should be entitled to become a citizen without condition. The Homecoming Act itself declared the statues of the Amerasian. There are no reasons why should the children of the US servicemen are not allow to become a US Citizen. Thru Vietnamese Amerasian Homecoming Act in 1988, almost 30,000 amerasians have arrived to America. We “childrens left behind” were hoping to find a new life in father’s land, but to a big surprised, we are not Americans even our fathers are Citizen of The United States. Our fathers are HEROES of The United States, The Black Wall has over 58,000 names of The Soldiers who lost their lives during the Vietnam Wars, and we are PROUD TO BE THE CHILDRENS OF THE U.S. SOLDIERS. I know most of us amerasian got lack of education from out mother's land, because of the evil commist people treat us like a criminal. When we're enter into our father's land. we're also get lack of eduaction once again, because of some of us tried to work for their new living, and some dont even know how to read or write in alphabet letters, even though write down a letter of a language that we are speaking. Only few of us have enter to education and be able to pickup what she/he been missing.please help us to past this bill.

As an Amerasian, I understand how Amerasians were suffered under the communist regime in Vietnam after April 30th, 1975. We are labeled as their “enemy blood” and faced hardship in society. Communist has a “perfect” system of discrimination against toward Amerasians that destroyed their entire life by making them illiterate. Only very small percentages are lucky that completed high school or home school. But the rest are not even passed elementary level. Amerasians did not have a fair chance there.
I am currently a US citizen and a member of Amerasian Fellowship Association of United States; I endorse H.R 4007 and urge everyone to support us this bill as well. I am a Vietnamese American. I have to overcome many obstical and harship as a victim of the Vietnam War. I hope to bridge between American culture and the more isolated Vietnamese-American community at large. If the Vietnamese-American community were linked to American culture less tenuously, it would expand American culture so much and would have an effect of bringing Americans closer to closing that gulf that exists between the two communities. It would also give Vietnamese-American communities, not more into the mainstream, but more normalized and therefore, more able to fully reap the benefits America has to offer. I truly believe that it is th United States is responsible in approving the bill HR-4007. Why not complete the mission...where the US started ODP program in 1979 and Homecoming Act of 1987. Why bring the amerasian here and not legitimizing them? Falling short don't you think?

It is not only the Vietnamese Amerasians that were fathered by the American soldiers -- there are many Filipinas, Thailanders and other Asian women that the soldiers bore children that should fall under this bill. They promised these women when they were making themselves happy while in their nests.

Im totally support this bill HR 4007.I have talk to few Amerasian kids, they told me the reason that they cant take the Citizen test, because they have a hard time to enter into education in Vietname. so when they are enter into their father land, it's really hard for them to start to learn at the beginning in different language. beside that, they are have to work for their new living. please help this kids to past the this bill.
