I am a friend of Dennis Ahr and I agree that this shows the best direction to go in. I am a firm believer in having everyone participate in the expense. Otherwise, it becomes another welfare debacle. I'm 65, in decent health and live on a fixed income. I'm willing to pay my fair share and I believe the majority of Americans are willing to do so as well. Congress, do the right thing and give the people a hand up; not a hand out....

I don't represent any special group. I have tried to read the bills pending before Congress, and this one seems to be the best compromise among them for all Americans. I applaud your efforts, and I am making my family and friends aware of your work. The media does not seem interested since there isn't enough partisan bickering for them to cover here....

Federal Retirees have a significant portion of their Federal Employees Health Insurance (FEHB) premium paid by the federal government. The reduced cost of the premium along with excellent choices of health care coverage are major inducements for working in the federal government for salaries less than can be earned in the private sector. Federal employees and retirees who would be affected by this bill include those who provide veteran health care, judges and members of Congress. This benefit is earned and should be maintained....

IN READING THIS BILL IT DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY PRODUCT LIABILITY CLAUSE FOR PRESCRIPTION DRUGS. THIS BILL SHOULD INCLUDE AN AMENDMENT TO PROVIDE A PROVISION FOR THE INJURIED PARTY A REMEDY FOR THE DEATH OR INJURY. UNDER THIS S BILL THERE IS NO PROVISIONS FOR DEATH OR INJURY CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE DRUG. BUT THERE IS PROVISIONS FOR PROSECUTION FOR MALPRACTICE SUITS THAT ARE FILED WITHOUT SHOWING CAUSE. THIS IS A DISCRACE AND STILL PROTECTING AND SHIELDING THE DRUG COMPANIES. THE PRE-EMPTION OF THE LAW IS STILL PROTECTING THE DRUG MANUFACTURING.
THIS BILL DOES NOT CORRECT BUT JUST OPENS THE DOOR FOR MORE EXPERIMENTING AND KILLING IN THE NAME OF HEALTH. SHOW ME WHERE ANY PERSON WHO ACCEPTS THIS BILL CAN SAY WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE THAT YOUR LIFE IS NOT AT STAKE....
