Just announced, 10.2 % Unemployment
Rate for Oct. 2009, Ron Bloom has
very bad judgement about central economic planning (aka: Karl Marx)
in the automobile industry, unless
someone rescues my old dealer who
has been terminated I will terminate purchasing GM Products !
This whole mess could have been avoided but for the greed of the
new GM Dealers who have attempted
to grab the value of the old dealers who have been canceled, this is Larceny, this is Theft, this is not in the interest of American Consumers and Taxpayers,
it must be stopped !...

Now,....let me get this straight...an American auto dealer TAXPAYER, pays TAXES to a government that takes those taxes and gives them to a GOVERNMENT OWNED (GM) company and a PRIVATELY OWNED company (Chrysler ) that, then turns around and STEALS that same auto dealers company and puts the dealer employees out on the street without a job !!!
WHAT SENATORS WANT TO GO ON RECORD TO SUPPORT THAT ??? Is this America or AMERIKA !!!...

The main reason the companies have declared "bankruptcy" was so that they could IGNORE all state franchise laws and get rid of dealers to appease the Obama "task force". It is SO wrong and unAmerican. This bill needs to be passed!...

In my mind, the manner in which this has occured in our nation has nothing to do with the industry specific to cars, but rather, is implied in ALL franchises. How can you not inform business owners who paid for distribution rights of a product, the reason you have selected him/her for closure and absolutely NO appeal process. It is not the sales force that has made the poor business decisions thta led to bankruptcy nor is the decrease in their numbers going to save the "new" company any m onies!IN ADDITION, THE FACT THAT A CAR CZAT=R made decisions and did not have to answer to Cingress is just plain Un ANERICAN. Now that both car companies emergeg from Bankruptcy he is gone! This is not the nation so many, many lost their lives for,nor is ti the one the founding fathers created. At least there remains the checks and balance system they were wise enough to create. NOW, CONGRESS and Senate, it is YOUR OBLIGATION to proetcet AMERICA from this distruction of private business!...

It is free enterprise that has made this country what it is today. If the government will stay out of the way and allow the American People to do what they do best, and that is to dig in and fight hard when the going gets tough, the economy will take care of itself. The government needs to pass this bill so that these dealers can get back to selling cars so they can help the manufacturers get out of the hole. Please pass this bill....

There are legal ways for the car companies to cancel poor performing and poorly capitalized dealers. Dealers must meet strict sales and customer satisfaction targets. If they don't they can and will be terminated by the manufactureres. The executive branch and the auto task force has allowed the present terminations to be made without regard for fairness. These terminations have been made in an underhanded, unjust, and unlawful bankruptcy procedure. The supreme court refused the case and bowed to political pressure. The funding for the bankruptcy came from the TARP fund - which was wrong. The whole situation is terrible. Consumers will pay higher prices and receive poorer service. Thousand of workers will unnecessarily lose their jobs. And the rights of the dealer's have been trampled. The Senate must pass s1304 and restore the rights that were stripped from the small business men and women. This bill will be controversial, but it is just and right and that's what matters....
