It is really just about the same thing that happened with the AIG bailout and the CEO got all those bonuses... well how will OBAMA get the money back out of the preachers and owners of these non profit organizations hands... it was all in the bookkeeping and journal entries.. And the banks are going for it because they get benefited by the money going through thier banks!! However, I have heard nothing about compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which requires that the expenditure of Federal funds be tracked and reviewed to ensure that the fund are used in a nondiscriminatory manner. States receiving these funds should be held accountable under Title VI! Every entity that receives funds is responsible for establishing policies and procedures to ensure Title VI compliance. To my knowledge Tennessee is the only state that has addressed Title VI statewide and it has been in effect for 45 years. I was able to speak to one of his staff and asked what the committee was doing for the long-term unemployed. I told him I have read H.R. 1 and all it does is move EUC tier 2 benefits from 3/09 to 12/09 and increases the benefit amount by $25 per week.
