Like myself, I too was hoping that all Veterans would get an increase to our compensation disabilty benefits. Unfortunately, there will be no increase. Due to what "JLGO" stated up above, SSA did not increase COLA. Thus, forget about wishing for an increase in our monthly payments. However, if Congress can get their acts together, Veterans should receive a $250.00 stimulus check (as well as retirees) sometime in 2010. The way Uncle Sam treats his/her Veterans is very sad. I'm in college right now and this past August, more than half of Veterans who were enrolled in school didn't even get their first payment through the new Post 9/11 bill until of course the media outlets (CNN/FOXNEWS/MSNBC) started reporting on this issue. With the mess going on right now in Veterans who are trying to get disability comp., I wonder how long will this debacle go on.
