I know the caregiving toll that it took on me financially, emotionally, and socially. I hope this bill is passed very soon. I agree with Dr. Trieste's post above. Once someone with a traumatic brain injury leaves the medical system, their support network significantly decreases and the full responsibility of care rests on the family - if there is one. Family members are not trained to deal with the rigors of retraining those with brain injuries and it creates a massive strain on those who provide daily care.
