If Congress decided that the original bill was appropriate, then how can they justify that those who served before Jan 28, 2008 are somehow unworthy of the same consideration? In Iraq, at least, the servicemen and women who served prior to Jan 28 served in a far more hostile, dangerous, and onerous environment than those who are serving now.
