I am a new nurse (2 yrs) and it concerns me that the average age of RNs I work with is ~46 yrs and above. It doesn't take a genius to see what is coming! I am a nurse and see first hand every day the way the nursing shortage effects patient care in a negative way. It is only going to get worse. HR 4001 is a way to expand nursing education and get more nurses in the field. We do the best we can as nurses but are just spread too thin.
