I notice that a 1996 appellate panel of the United States Court of Federal Claims unanimously ruled that the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Polk County, Texas, had proved aboriginal title to 6.4 million acres in 11 East Texas counties: Polk, Tyler, Angelina, Trinity, San Jacinto, Walker, Liberty, Montgomery, Hardin, Jasper, Newton, and part of Orange.

The Congressman representing Angelina and Tyler Counties, Louie Gohmert (R, TX-1), has rolled the clock back 200 years and proposed the "retrocession" or return of almost all of the District of Columbia to the State of Maryland.

I'm sure Mr. Gohmert will next discuss retrocession of Angelina and Tyler Counties to the Alabama-Coushatta People....
